The new D-segment plug-in hybrid SUV combines Geely’s EM-i Super Hybrid system, intelligent all-wheel drive, connected technology, and a premium executive-focused cabin.

Geely is bringing the Monjaro EM-i to the Philippines, with the new D-segment plug-in hybrid SUV scheduled for its local launch by the end of October 2026.

Positioned as Geely’s executive performance flagship, the Monjaro EM-i combines electrified performance, premium comfort, intelligent technology, and a larger SUV footprint. Its arrival also expands Geely Motor Philippines’ New Energy Vehicle lineup as the brand continues to build its presence in the local market.

EM-i Super Hybrid with intelligent AWD

At the center of the Monjaro EM-i is Geely’s EM-i Super Hybrid system, developed to balance performance with more efficient energy use.

The model also introduces Geely’s e-AWD Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Drive System to its overseas lineup, giving the SUV added traction and stability across different road conditions. The setup is intended to retain the versatility and performance expected from a premium SUV while adding the benefits of plug-in hybrid driving.

For Filipino drivers, that combination positions the Monjaro EM-i as an electrified SUV that can handle daily city use, longer drives, and varied road conditions without relying solely on battery power.

New architecture supports a smarter cabin

The Monjaro EM-i is built on Geely’s GEA Evo architecture, a new-energy-native platform designed to support flexible packaging, multiple energy systems, advanced safety, and intelligent vehicle technologies.

It is complemented by GEEA 3.0, Geely’s electronic and electrical architecture, which supports the vehicle’s connected and digital systems. Inside, the SUV features the Flyme Auto intelligent infotainment system, forming the basis of its smart cockpit experience.

The Monjaro EM-i is also Geely’s first overseas model equipped with the Xingrui Intelligent Large Language Model, extending AI-based interaction into the vehicle’s interface.

Executive-focused comfort

The Monjaro EM-i uses its D-segment proportions to provide a spacious cabin designed around both driver and passenger comfort.

Geely is positioning the interior for business, family, and leisure use, with an emphasis on a quieter, more composed journey. That approach fits the model’s broader executive positioning, where space, technology, and refinement are intended to matter as much as outright performance.

Safety includes Shendun battery protection

Safety systems include a combination of active and passive technologies together with the Shendun Battery Safety System, which provides additional protection for the electrified powertrain.

The all-wheel-drive system and vehicle architecture also contribute to stability and driving confidence, particularly on longer trips and varying road surfaces.

Philippine launch by end-October

The Geely Monjaro EM-i will officially launch in the Philippines by the end of October 2026. Detailed specifications, pricing, variants, and availability will be announced closer to the local launch.

More information is available through the Geely Philippines website.
