Around 100 firefighters have been battling a huge fire a recycling centre in south London.
The blaze at the building in Landmann Way, Bermondsey, sent huge plumes of smoke across the London skyline.
The fire's proximity to rail lines sparked travel chaos on trains to and from London Bridge station through Monday evening.
Firefighters were still battling to bring the blaze under control last night hours after the fire broke out at around 5.30pm.
Fifteen fire engines were scrambled to the scene, with fire chiefs saying crews were still expected to be at the scene on Tuesday morning.
Footage shared online from the scene showed huge plumes of smoke billowing out of the building.
The London Fire Brigade also shared pictures from the scene of its firefighters battling the enormous blaze.
Two of the LFB’s 32-metre turntable ladders were deployed to fight the fire from above.
National Rail warned the fire was causing major disruption to rail services.
Southeastern and Thameslink trains going to or through London Bridge could be cancelled or diverted to different stations, or run only part of the normal route.
Passengers planning to travel from London Bridge on Monday evening were advised to find an alternative route.
Passengers were also advised to avoid London Charing Cross.
The disruption was expected to continue until the end of the day, according to National Rail.
No information about potential disruption to services on Tuesday morning had been provided last night.
Station Commander Wayne Bloomfield, who was at the scene, said: "Firefighters are working hard to extinguish a large amount of refuse at a recycling centre. The fire is also affecting a warehouse unit.
"Due to the significant amount of smoke in the area, local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
"Loose embers have also been reported, which is normal during large fires. Residents are advised to pour water onto them if they are concerned about loose embers on or near their properties, but if they do catch something alight, don't hesitate to call 999.
"This is likely to be a protracted incident, with crews remaining on scene into the morning."
It is understood the recycling centre affected is operated by Lewisham Council.
